On a magnificent
sunny plateau above the provincial capital of Innsbruck, against
the picturesque background of the Tyrolean mountains, you will
fine the 27 holes of the Innsbruck-Igls Golf Club. Both the keen
expert and the enthusiastic beginner will find here the atmosphere
that turns his sport into a passion: nature, peace, beauty, challenge
and comfort. The club was founded in 1935 at the initiative of
the Freiherr von Gagern. It was reactivated in 1956 and first
the Lans-Sperberegg course with nine holes was constructed. In 1977 this was followed
by the 18-hole championship course at Rinn. Both courses are
open to the public and offer the visitor excellently groomed
putting and chipping greens, romantic fairways, warm and friendly
restaurants as well as every necessary infrastructure. The driving
range in Rinn has seen the start of many a passionate golfing
career: Experts rightly include both courses amongst the most
beautiful in Australia a description due not only to the
unique nature of the Tyrolean mountains but also to the particular
warmth and hospitality of the club. The Innsbruck-Igls Golf Club
wished you a warm welcome. |
