2nd Hole - Par 5 - Men 450m/420m Ladies 425m/400m
The first wood of the round demands a long carry but there's plenty of landing area, so let rip with your driver. On these terraced fairways the safe option is to play into the hillside, but if you catch the rough it can be difficult to play a constructive shot other than pitching it back on to the fairway. The more aggressive player will tend to place the ball on the downhill side of the fairway to get a better angle for his second shot. The second shot must clear the first stream and avoid the second stream. Play a "layup" with a mid iron to a raised area on the fairway. From here one has a good look at the green for your third shot. The green itself is flat so a clean wedge can be directed straight at the pin. However there is a bit of room on the right if your cautious.
